- Basic message content generated by the account owner’s Home Assistant smart home system, such as dog door activity, pet feeding updates, apartment status changes, security alerts, and system notifications.

This service is intended for personal use by the account owner. No third-party users are added to this messaging service.

2. How We Use Information

Information is used only to provide requested SMS notifications to the account owner. Messages may include smart home alerts such as:

- Dog door activity

- Pet feeding updates

- Apartment or home status changes

- Security or motion alerts

- Home Assistant system notifications

We do not use phone numbers or message information for advertising, marketing, profiling, or resale.

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share phone numbers or SMS consent information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Information may be shared only with service providers necessary to deliver SMS messages, such as telecommunications carriers, messaging platforms, or related infrastructure providers. These providers process information only as needed to deliver the requested messaging service.

4. SMS Consent

SMS consent is provided by the account owner when they configure their own Home Assistant smart home system to send SMS alerts to their own phone number.

SMS consent is not shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on smart home activity and system configuration. Messages may be sent when events occur, such as dog door activity, pet feeding activity, apartment status changes, or security alerts.

6. Opt-Out Instructions

You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. After opting out, you may receive a final confirmation message. No further SMS messages will be sent unless you opt in again.

7. Help Instructions

You may reply HELP to any message for assistance.

8. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information associated with this SMS notification service. However, no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

9. Data Retention

Phone numbers and message records may be retained only as long as needed to operate the messaging service, comply with legal obligations, resolve technical issues, or maintain service records.

This service is not directed to children under 13 and is not intended to collect information from children.
